If you do decide to visit the Kingdom of Torot, I suggest you take a map as it is a vast place with several districts. This makes your task more onerous & stealing a must. Although, you will come across spells that can despatch the apparitions, everytime you begin a game, Sir Galaheart is completely defenseless. The mere act of walking would see your health gradually depleting, this is even before hostile ghosts collar you and reduce your life further. Now, I thought a brisk walk was good for you but not here. The reason for this was that even a walk in Torot was seemingly bad for your health. Whilst items were scattered around the Kingdom, they would not be enough to ensure success in your objective. Stop the arrow on guilty then one of Sir Galahearts lives is lost. Here you take part in a mini game which consists of an arrow switching between guilty & innocent. However, get caught in the act & you'll go before a judge. This nefarious act was often required to ensure your progress. However, like the wicked queen, you could use the dark art of the five fingered discount to steal information & goods from the people. The towns people were still keen to trade with Sir Galaheart & would happily swap anything of equal value in your possession. ![]() ![]() Sallying forth, your adventurer required assistance from the townsfolk who were housebound because of angry ghosts who wanted to keep the status quo of a cursed Torot. The exchange complete, Torot would be free, returning to happier times of suckling pig & kegs of mead. Apparently, Oil of Ulay wasn't doing the trick for the Wicked Queen. Once obtained, you would find the wicked queen who stole the firestone from a local dragon & exchange it with the four charms of youth she so badly wanted. A poll winner in the Programmer of the Year category as voted by readers of Crash Magazine, Stephen Crow followed this success with his colourful arcade adventure called Firelord.Ĭasting you as the Knight, Sir Galaheart, you had to traverse the cursed Kingdom of Torot to obtain the four charms of eternal youth. The name Stephen Crow will be known to many an 8-bit fan.
